In-house AI training for Kenyan teams, built around their real work
A hands-on half-day workshop for up to 15 staff. Your team leaves with prompts, checklists and safe habits for their own roles, from finance and sales to customer service, operations and HR.
What changes
- Staff use AI for drafting, summarising and analysis in their own roles the same week.
- Everyone knows which company and customer data may go into AI tools, and which may not.
- Managers can spot the tasks worth automating, and the ones that aren't.
- Risky habits stop, such as pasting customer lists or payslips into free chatbots.

What’s included
- A short pre-workshop survey of roles, tools and current AI use
- A half-day session at your premises for up to 15 staff
- Hands-on exercises using your own documents, with personal data removed
- A prompt library for finance, sales, operations and customer service roles
- A one-page AI use policy draft based on Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019

From KES 120,000 half day, up to 15 staff
How it runs
Brief
A short call and survey to learn your team's roles, tools and current use of AI.
Tailor
We build the exercises around your own documents and processes, with personal data removed.
Workshop
Half a day, hands-on. Every participant works on tasks from their own job, not generic examples.
Follow up
You receive the prompt library, the draft AI use policy and the automation opportunities we spotted.
Your team is already using AI
Ask around your office. Someone probably drafts emails with ChatGPT. Someone else may have pasted a customer list into a free tool to “clean it up”. Often nobody has told them what is allowed, what works and what puts the business at risk.
That risk is yours. Under Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019, your business answers for the personal data your staff handle, including what they paste into an AI tool.
An AI workshop fixes that in half a day. Your team learns to use AI well in their own jobs, and to keep customer and company data where it belongs.
What the half day covers
- What AI tools are good at, and where they get things wrong. Including how to check an answer before you rely on it.
- Hands-on practice on real tasks. Each participant works on tasks from their own role, using your documents with personal data removed.
- Data rules. What may and may not go into an AI tool under Kenya’s Data Protection Act 2019, and how to anonymise data before you use it.
- Spotting automation. How to tell a task that needs a better prompt from a task that needs a proper automation.
- Your own ground rules. We close by agreeing a short list of do’s and don’ts with the group. It becomes the starting point for your AI use policy.
Built around the roles in the room
- Finance: drafting payment reminders, summarising supplier statements and explaining variances. Checking the figures stays with a person.
- Sales and customer service: replies to common WhatsApp questions, quote follow-ups and call notes.
- Operations and HR: standard operating procedures, job adverts, meeting minutes and checklists.
- Management: board summaries, reading long reports quickly and testing a plan before you commit to it.
After the workshop
You keep the prompt library, the draft AI use policy and a short list of the automation opportunities we noticed, ranked by the time they could save.
Some of those opportunities need more than a better prompt. When a task is repetitive and lives in your systems, it is usually a job for back-office automation or a WhatsApp AI agent.
Want a longer, assessed course?
The workshop is half a day for one team. For a full course with more practice and an assessment, see AI for Business Teams and the other courses at the Deefrent Academy.
Common questions
Who is the workshop for?
Teams of up to 15 people from finance, sales, operations, customer service, HR or management. Nobody needs technical skills. We can run separate sessions for different departments.
Which AI tools do you cover?
The general-purpose assistants your staff can already use, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, plus the AI features inside tools you already pay for. We teach habits that work across tools, so the training stays useful when the tools change.
Do you cover data protection?
Yes. Every workshop covers what may go into an AI tool under Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019 and your own policies, and what never should: customer lists, ID numbers, payslips, medical records. You get a one-page AI use policy draft to adapt. It is practical guidance, not legal advice.
What does an AI workshop cost?
From KES 120,000 for a half day with up to 15 staff. Larger groups, full-day sessions or a series of workshops are quoted separately.
Can you run it outside Nairobi?
Yes. We run workshops at your premises. For locations outside Nairobi, travel is added to the quote.
Is the workshop a sales pitch for your automation services?
No. The workshop stands on its own. We share the automation opportunities we notice, and it is your choice whether to act on them, with us or with anyone else.
Find out what your systems could run on their own
Start with a free 30-minute automation audit. We look at how your team works across WhatsApp, M-Pesa and other mobile money, your bank, Odoo and eTIMS, and you leave with a one-page map of what to automate first.
